Phoenix, AZ—Honoring America’s Veterans is proud to partner with the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona to host the 2024 “Home of the Brave” Memorial Day ceremony on May 27, 2024, starting at 8 a.m. This solemn event reaffirms our nation’s commitment to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending our freedoms.

“We invite the community to join us in paying homage to the brave men and women who gave everything for our country,” said Paula Pedene, Executive Director of Honoring America’s Veterans, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and recognizing our nation’s veterans through events throughout the year. “Memorial Day isn’t just an opportunity to pay tribute to their courage—it’s a commitment to never forget the cost of peace and liberty. We remember, so their sacrifices are never in vain.”

The “Home of the Brave” Memorial Day Ceremony will occur at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ. It will feature a range of poignant tributes, including a keynote address by the U.S. Army (Ret.) Sergeant First Class Diana Pike, a Gold Star Mother.  Other notable participants include Master of Ceremonies, Judge Rick Romley, a decorated U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, who will deliver remarks and present a proclamation.

The ceremony will be a moving tribute featuring performances by the 108th Army National Guard Band, a flyover by Kurt Gearhart and the Phoenix Stearman Group, and a special rifle volley by the Arizona Army National Guard Military Honor Guard. These poignant moments will serve as a testament to the bravery and sacrifice of our veterans.
