Get Ready! Phoenix Veterans Day Parade is less than three weeks away.

Honoring America’s Veterans Hosts

26th annual Phoenix Veterans Day Parade

Every year, tens of thousands gather on the streets of Phoenix to thank and recognize our nation’s military veterans. These men and women have worn our Armed Forces’ uniforms to defend our freedoms and sacrificed for our country.

With seven Grand Marshals from World War II through Operation Enduring Freedom, two special Grand Marshals, four essay winners, ten floats, five bands, and community groups, this year’s parade will be a sight.

The Phoenix Veteran’s Day Parade features hand-built floats from community businesses and organizations, flyovers featuring World War II biplanes, and Army National Guard Apache Helicopters. There are classic cars from the Model T Ford Club and the Sun Country Corvette Club. Two giant helium balloons have wing spans of up to 25 feet!

Beginning at 11 a.m. at the corner of Montebello and Central Avenue, the parade crosses East on Camelback and continues South on 7th Street, concluding at Indian School Road. Parade-goers should arrive by 10:30 a.m. to find a good spot along the route to watch the parade.

New Parade Features for 2022

The Phoenix Veteran’s Day Parade is always an experience with something fun for everyone. This year is no exception, as we’re adding some exciting new features.

The Go Daddy Veterans in Technology group will be marching in the parade alongside an M-55 Tank owned by Chad Hares. There’s a new eagle balloon being designed and built now. And for the first time, The Phoenix Veteran’s Day Parade will feature food trucks along the parade route for parade-goers to grab a snack and a drink while they watch the parade. The Harkins movie truck will be on-site with Harkin’s official movie theater popcorn, hot dogs, and sodas. Stay tuned for more food truck news coming soon.

We’re still looking for volunteers if you’re interested in being a part of the Phoenix Veteran’s Day parade. You can find more information here: Volunteer at the parade | Honoring America’s Veterans (honoringamericasveterans.org)
