At the Elysian Catwalk Furbaby Fashion show, Honoring America’s Veterans paid tribute to Loretta Swit in the philanthropic service category. Nationally acclaimed designer Johnathan Kayne created her lovely gown.

Honoring America’s Veterans partnered with M*A*S*H star Loretta Swit to honor her for her work in supporting our military veterans and the Army Nurse Corps. At 87, Swit walked the runway in New York City during Fashion Week as part of a Philanthropic effort presented by Elysian Magazine, whose emphasis is on women supporting women.
Swit is best known for her role as Major Margaret Houlihan in the TV show M*A*S*H. Her time on the show brought her closer to our military veterans and nurses. To this day, she is a wonderful patriotic supporter and in fact has participated in the Honoring America’s Veterans Phoenix Veterans Day Parade as the Celebrity Grand Marshal three times! She is an ardent supporter of our nation’s veterans and our nonprofit organization.
And to truly make her sparkle
Award-winning designer Johnathan Kayne designed one of his fabulous gowns for her walk down the runway. Kayne has family members who are veterans, and says he was inspired to support our efforts.
Johnathan Kayne is an award-winning designer who has been featured as a top designer on the television series Project Runway.
His dress and shoe collections are among some of the most revered.
Dubbed a “genius designer” by Heidi Klum and “a designer who knows how to make clothes that fit a woman’s body” by Michael Kors, his designs have appeared on the world’s biggest stars and most prestigious red carpets. Honoring America’s Veterans is grateful to Johnathan for the beautiful gown he designed and gifted to Loretta Swit,
